My kids were helping with the chores today. Pretty routine. It occured to me that my youngest has been somewhat over looked when it comes to "real" chores. It's so much easier to assign the older kids potty cleaning duty, and I realized at age 10, Sam had never "swabbed the deck, " so to speak. I dunno, maybe I am just a sap to get a little verklempt over this "first." In the spirit of the season, it is official - Sam Herrin is the 2009 Tidy Bowl Champion.
